AT LAST clarity is a good 2ft and yesterday our rod average was 2.3 first time its fished all month, about time Thornton arm & wood bank best with bank anglers enjoying the best of the sport with fast sinking lines booby, blob & cats whiskers. Few anglers ventured out with last week’s cold Siberian blast seeing ice forming in the rod rings, not great. The trout that were caught unsurprisingly were on fast sinking lines short leaders with blobs, booby, cats whisker fished mainly along the Thornton Arm & corner of the wood.
