Thornton Report Week Ending 23/02/14
At last were enjoying much better sport with 79 rods recording a catch of 317 trout for a weekly rod average of 4.0
Our clarity continues to improve as the rod average reflects with boat and bank anglers catching opposite the lodge, in front of the wood and down to the lonesome pine.
The fish are tight on the margins with anglers catching on fast sinking lines with boobies or floating lines with long leaders and weighted Montana or Green & Black Tadpole
Some overwintered trout taken this week with Mark Hunt taking the best fish of the week an overwintered 7lb rainbow
Most productive time to fish 10.00am to 3.30pm
Our sport should continue to improve this coming week.
