Weekly Report ending 28th April
103 rods recorded 291 trout for the week for a rod average 2.8
The wind did not settle this past week generally blowing from the east on some days we started with a north easterly, before it going to the south east and before the day ended it had gone back to a north easterly and at times it was the wind strength could be described as “fresh”
The trout are still in the main running the shallows were they have been for the past few weeks but they are starting to move with anglers who went to green bay reporting a good number of trout in this area.
Howard Davies caught 15 in what could be described as fresh conditions on Saturday he caught the majority from green bay, Nigel Organ had a good day fishing from his tube on Sunday catching 15 from the Markfield Arm while his companions Kevin Dewey, Mick Revell caught 15 between them from a boat. Russ Martin caught 5lb8oz rainbow from the bank, D Hodgson, A Bokenham, M Adkin, P Winnac, N James all recorded trout of 3lb+ with A Lawson recording a 4lb4oz rainbow
Floating Line, midge tip or intermediate lines with buzzer, damsel, Montana and bloodworm patterns working best
