Thornton Weekly Report week ending 14th February
By the weekend our water clarity had improved enough for anglers to start catching again, although not at the prolific rate the week previous.
Adam Gunby caught 8 trout to 4lb8oz using a diawl bach and buzzer patterns, while Mark Hunt fished booby & bloodworm combination to take his 8 fish, Mark Burrows found the snake & cats whisker worked best for him. Best Patterns: Black & Green, White & Green, apps bloodworm, diawl bach
The shallows of the Thornton arm down to the corner of the wood fished best with the trout tight in the margins.
