Our water temperature has dropped below 10 degrees & our water clarity is good, with the trout well on the fry, with this week’s rod average 2.0
No one area is fishing better than another, a few days last week saw the corner of the wood fishing well, then for a few days in front of the lodge became the hot spot, farm bank & green bay have continued to produce at times.
Mid range 3-4inch sinkers & fast sinkers 7 inch / second have been the lines to fish with the smaller minkie, zonker fry patterns best. Although white & green continues to be the best colour on odd days black & green or olive zonkers have caught well.
Martin Brown fished a morning session taking 5 to 3lb, Mick Hanson fished a morning session also catching 5 trout, Andy Dermott took time off from helping out at the fisheries catching 7 trout to 3lb8oz for his mornings fishing, Mick Huffer fished a morning session recording 5 trout while Mark Hunt found the afternoon fished better for him catching 7.
Overall average for the week was 2.0
