Customers Please note:
If you are calling the fisheries after 6.00pm the staff during the evening session have extra disinfecting duties to carry out on boats, pontoon & life jackets.
The staff will always try to do the best they can for you but due to the extra workload currently involved with disinfecting, they may not be in the position to deal with your enquiry straight away. They may ask you to call back later or they will take your details to call you back.
We value your custom & appreciate your cooperation as we continue to work to the required guidelines to deal with coronavirus
Fishery Report: Week Ending:
Monday and with the water temperature down at 16+ degrees a decent start to the week. Pam Shuttlewood out after lockdown caught 4 for her mornings visit, Bob Menhams fished the washing line with a small black hopper and black buzzers catching 4 for his mornings visit. A good late evening rise with fish in the Thornton arm on caenis and fish in the Markfield arm on the sedges with Peter Wurm catching 3 but reporting great sport for his visit.
Tuesday and the evening session again fished best with plenty of sedges & caenis on the water especially during the last couple of hours. N Bates fished a small G&H sedge to catch his 5 trout with Mr & Mrs Warren fishing in green bay to take their catch.
Wednesday and the water temperature had risen to 18c not surprising therefore that the sink 3 to fast sink lines were the way to go not surprising therefore that the snake fly produced best with S Wilson recording 6 for his visit and Howard Davies taking 4 during his mornings visit.
Thursday proved to be a tough day with Friday Fishing a little better, S Higgins caught 4 from his tube, Chris Sayer caught 7 with Mick Cross catching 6 for their mornings sport as did My Simmonds also catching 6
Saturday and Sunday saw the water temperature during the day push to 19c+ with the best of the fishing during the morning period. Alison & Brian Sibley caught 5 for their mornings visit, Matt Vickers recorded 4 on diawl bach with John & Peter fishing buzzers to take their 6 trout
