Weekly Report ending 31st August
108 rods recorded 215 trout for the week for a rod average 2
Anglers report seeing plenty of trout moving last week to good hatches of claret & olive buzzers with these hatches increasing during the late afternoon & into the evening, not surprising therefore we experienced some of our best evening rise fishing of the season so far during last week.
Some caenis is still about, we find a sparkle gnat or tups works well when the fish are on them. Plenty of sedge about in the late evening
Clive Holt fished the evening session catching 6 trout, Russ Martin fished dries during his evenings visit catch 5 trout, Mark Hunt changed his booking from a morning boat to an afternoon fishing daddies and shipmans to boat 7 trout.
Currently the afternoon session is the most productive.
Best patterns, daddies, hopper, cdc, shipman’s & buzzer.
