Weekly Report Week ending 18th October 2015
With the shortening daylight hours our surface water temperature has dropped to 12.5 degrees resulting with the trout starting to move from the deeper water to the weed beds along the wood bank and both the arms after the fry.
Although a few fish were taken on the buzzer the cats whisker, snake and damsel pattern worked best with the intermediate line.
On Saturday 17th we held the Steve Parton memorial competition, float tubers fishing against anglers in boats, 20 anglers competed catching 70 trout for a math rod average 3.5 with the float tubers being victorious, Rick Dunnet took the best bag for a float tuber 4 fish for 10lb 6oz while John Everitt taking the best bag for a boat angler with 4 fish for 9lb2oz, best fish 5lb12oz
