Warmer weather at the start of the week once again drove our surface temperature towards 19 degrees and with it the algae bloom increased. By the weekend our water temperature was once again down to below 18 degrees, but our algae bloom persisted.
John Everett fished in green bay catching 5 trout on a red eyed damsel and booby, Clive Holt fished an afternoon session with suspender buzzers and caught 5 trout, Robert Moreton and Adi Iliffe shared a boat and fished snakes and boobies to catch their 6 trout.
6 members of the British Float Tubing Association fished on Saturday averaging 2 fish for their match, on Sunday Thornton Fly Fishers fished a boat pairs match with Nigel Harvey & Richard Dayman the winning pair boating 9 trout with Dennis Barnes picking up the prize for largest trout at 3lb
Overall average for the week was 1.25
Currently our water temperature remains at 17.5 degrees
